Clinical Experience

Christina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has an individualized approach to therapy and believes the client is in the driver seat while the therapist is a guide to help find and utilize the correct tools.  She has experience as a competitive athlete and can appreciate the impact an athlete’s mental health and performance can have due to a “bump in the training plan.”  

Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults.  Christina gained her experience working in high paced environments such as Hartgrove Hospital in the Emergency Services department and working for Cook County Health and Hospital Systems treating a variety of issues and populations.

Christina utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness, working with mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, adjustment issues, anger management, communication skills, trauma, grief, and life transitions.

Education

Christina received her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in Child Protection from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and received a Certificate in Sports and Performance Psychology from John F. Kennedy University.
