Brianna Wiest’s The Mountain Is You is a self-development guide centered on the idea that the biggest obstacles in our lives—the “mountains” we face—are not external challenges but patterns of self-sabotage. These behaviors often look like procrastination, fear, indecision, or destructive habits. While frustrating, Wiest reframes them as survival mechanisms that once protected us. The book’s purpose is to help readers transform those internal mountains into pathways of growth.

This book club is about digging deep, gaining perspective, and integrating change into your life in order to live in alignment with your true values

FAQs

Is this therapy?
No. This book group is a psychoeducational and coaching-based program. It is not group therapy and does not replace individual counseling. Instead, it provides tools, reflection, and supportive discussion to help you grow in a structured, safe environment.

What if I miss a week?
Life happens! If you miss a session, you can use the workbook prompts and take-home practices to stay on track. You’ll also receive a brief recap so you won’t fall behind.

Do I need to read the whole book in advance?
No. We’ll move through The Mountain Is You bi-weekly together. You’ll receive guided questions and activities tied to each section.

How is this different from a casual book club?
This program includes:

  • A professionally designed 12-week curriculum

  • A companion workbook for journaling and growth

  • Facilitated discussions to deepen insight

  • Activities and practices you can use beyond the group

How big is the group?
Spots are limited to keep the group intimate and supportive (usually 6–12 participants). This ensures everyone has a voice and space for reflection.

What’s included in the program fee?

  • 12 bi-weekly 90 minute sessions

  • The full companion workbook

  • A structured plan for reflection and growth

  • Support and accountability from a like-minded community

Who is this for?
Anyone ready to stop self-sabotaging, gain clarity, and grow with the support of others. You do not need to be in therapy to join — just bring curiosity, commitment, and an open mind.
